Kill Devil Hills, N.C. – Today, the Beverly Boswell for N.C. House Campaign released the following statement:

“We were unaware of the mistake until the Nursing Board contacted us.  An overeager campaign volunteer wrote and published the content on the website and Facebook page without Rep. Boswell’s knowledge. We have restricted access to both the website and the FB page to ensure this doesn’t happen again and have verified the accuracy of all info currently posted. In a quick search, we identified over a half of dozen examples where Rep. Boswell noted her profession as a medical assistant phlebotomist, including the Outer Banks Voice 2016 Voter Guide.”

“In fact, Rep. Boswell’s official legislative website states her profession / occupation on the front page as a ‘medical assistant phlebotomist.’ Thus, the media neglects to recognize the published content on Rep. Boswell’s official legislative website, which has not changed since the establishment of the website.”

“Moreover, Representative Boswell has never personally claimed to be a registered nurse. In every N.C. Government Directory as well as candidate profiles from the 2016 election she clearly states her profession as a ‘medical assistant phlebotomist.’ See screenshots below.”

“Going forward we’re going to focus on the issues that affect Eastern North Carolina and Rep. Boswell’s outstanding Conservative record in the North Carolina House. When voters look at Rep. Boswell’s record compared to Bobby Hanig’s it will be clear that Rep. Boswell is the real conservative in this race and that Bobby simply is not. Bobby Hanig is the candidate in this race with a proven history of standing with liberal Democrats and fighting against President Trump’s agenda.”
